Who we are


Founded in 1992, the Centre for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine (CPCFPU) is an independent, not-for-profit think-tank. Main profiles of the Centre include conducting of policy research and event management in the fields of international relations, Ukrainian integration into Euro-Atlantic structures, security and defence, as well as political, economic and social development of Ukraine

Mission statement


The Centre is committed to making Ukrainian integration work into the European community. The CPCFPU works at the “cutting edge” of Ukrainian and European policy-making providing wide public with rapid, high-quality information and analysis on Ukrainian and the EU policy agenda

Launching and participation in international projects: «Implementation of effective borders policy of Ukraine» (2001), “Democratic transformations on the way to NATO membership: experience of candidate-states for Ukraine” (2002), “The Enlarged EU and Ukraine: new relationship” (2002-2004), “Monitoring of the Eastern border of Poland” (2004-2005), “Regulation of labour migration – challenges for Ukraine” (2004-2005), “Partnership for European integration of Ukraine: development of civil debates on the EU” (2004-2005), “Consolidation of civil society within the prospects of new neighbourhood of the enlarged Europe” (2004), “Active position of the youth: lessons of elections in Ukraine and Romania” (2004) etc

Holding international events in Kiev and regions of Ukraine. This includes: conferences, seminars, civil debates, round tables etc. In 2004-2005 (till November) were hold more than 30 events

Dialogue with governmental authorities of Ukraine
  • Impact on decision-making process through providing interested governmental bodies with results of researches, including Parliament, Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Individual political leaders of Ukraine and other states
  • Centre is a member to civil structures by governmental bodies of Ukraine, including Civil Collegium by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Vice-Prime-Minister for European integration of Ukraine

Creation of electronic databases in Internet: www.cpcfpu.org.ua, www.ea-ua.info, and in Internet and CDs – database on European Integration

Participation in organization of Economic Forum in Krynycja (Poland) in 2004-2005 as Institutional partner of the Forum

Creation and holding of the network of Ukrainian regional and international experts
